Privacy Policy

We're Half-Baked Co. (makers of Nudge). We collect the minimum we need to make Nudge work, we never sell your data, and we run no advertising or analytics trackers. If anything below confuses you, email hello@usenudge.fun and we'll explain like a real human.

Nudge is made by Half-Baked Co.. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@usenudge.fun — that's the whole address book.

• Account info: your email address and password (stored hashed by our auth provider — we never see it).
• What you put in the app: tasks, steps, brain dumps, custom prompts, goals, rewards, Reset Room completions, points, quiz results and Dread vs Reality check-ins. We store it so the app can show it back to you.
• Your settings: tone, life areas, timezone, notification preferences, reduce-motion choice — plus the date we last emailed you, so we don't double-send.
• Subscription status: trial or plan state and renewal dates, received from our payment processor.
• Server logs: standard request and error logs generated by our hosting provider (including IP address) to keep the app running and debug faults.

• No product analytics, behavioural profiling or session recording. We don't track which buttons you press.
• No advertising networks, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking cookies.
• No card numbers — payments are handled entirely by Stripe and card details never touch our servers.
• No diagnoses or clinical records. Nudge is a productivity tool, not a medical device, and the quiz is not a screening test.

To run the service, send the nudge emails you've asked for, generate AI suggestions you request, handle your subscription, and fix bugs. That's the whole list — we don't build profiles and we don't sell anything.

Brain Dump, Break It Down, "Help me prioritise" and the custom prompt generator send the text you type (plus the open tasks relevant to that request) to our AI provider so it can return a suggestion.

• These calls happen only when you press the button — nothing is sent in the background.
• We don't use your content to train AI models, and we ask the same of our provider.
• Please don't paste passwords, financial details or sensitive health information into AI features.
• AI output is a suggestion. It can be wrong, and it is never medical or professional advice.

Nudges are designed to reach you outside the app, so Nudge can send you email: your daily prompt at a time you choose in your timezone, reminders for tasks you gave a remind-me time, and optional goal check-ins.

• You control all of it in Settings → Notifications — a master on/off switch plus a toggle per email type.
• Every nudge email has a one-click unsubscribe link that switches the master toggle off immediately.
• To send them we store your timezone, preferred send time, and the date we last emailed you, so we don't double-send.
• Service emails (password reset, security notices, billing receipts) are not marketing and are always sent.
• We do not sell your email address or use it for third-party advertising.

Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. You enter card details on Stripe's own checkout and billing portal, never in Nudge. We receive only what we need to run your account — plan, status and renewal or cancellation date. We never see or store full card numbers. Billing and tax records are retained for as long as accounting law requires, even after you delete your account.

A short, boring list of service providers, each bound to use your data only to provide their service to us:

• Hosting, database and authentication — running the app and storing your account and content
• Stripe — subscription payments and the billing portal
• Email delivery — nudge emails, password resets and billing notices
• AI provider — generating a suggestion when you use an AI feature

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

Our providers operate servers in several countries, so your data may be stored or processed outside Canada. We use providers that offer standard contractual protections for those transfers. Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, applies to our handling of your personal information regardless of where the data is processed.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and, depending on where you live, local data protection law, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time

Email hello@usenudge.fun and we'll respond within 30 days. Usually much faster.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete my account. You'll be asked to confirm, because it can't be undone.

• Your login, tasks, steps, brain dumps, custom prompts, prompt history, goals, rewards and settings are deleted immediately.
• Any active subscription or trial is cancelled immediately as part of the deletion, so billing stops. There is no refund for time already paid.
• Your payment record with our payment processor (Stripe) is kept for accounting and audit, tagged as belonging to a deleted account.
• All scheduled nudge emails stop right away.
• Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days.
• Billing and tax records are kept only where law requires it, and are never used to contact you again.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and your content is protected by per-account access rules in the database. No system is 100% secure, but we take it seriously. If we ever have a breach affecting you, we'll notify you and any regulator we're required to notify.

Nudge is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Full detail lives in our Cookie Policy.

If we change this policy in a material way, we'll email registered users and post a notice in-app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
